Lars Oermann, Regional Director of the KfW South Caucasus regional Office is pointing out: “German Government is the biggest investor in waste management projects in Georgia with 50 Mio. € current and future commitments. At the same time the German contribution to a sustainable establishment and management of national parks in Georgia with grant funds amounting to over 30 Mio. €is unrivaled. Therefore we as KfW feel the responsibility of linking both the waste issue and environment to show commitment. Seeing today children, parents, ministers, mayors and ambassadors cleaning major sites from waste is an impressing sign for a cleaner environment and an outstanding example for us all.”
