School student from Georgia is a winner of the international school contest already for the second time

Within the framework of the project "SPARE" (School Project for Application of Resources and Energy), the international school contest is held annually. Pupils from up to 20 countries take part in it and try to present their experiences and recommendations to a broad audience how to save energy and how to use it more efficiently.

The competition was held this year in the form of a video contest and its main message was "Do More With Less". School students from different countries have taken and uploaded videos. 3 winners were revealed, including the first place winner Shorena Janjghava’s video from Georgia. It is noteworthy that Janjghava was the first place winner also in the last year's competition. Shorena is studying in Tbilisi #149 public school and is actively involved in various environmental activities, including “SPARE” project activities and competitions. Shorena Janjghava has won 300 Euros by winning the contest "Do More With Less" at the international level.

Project “SPARE” (School Project for Application of Resources and Energy) is the world’s largest school program on the efficient use of energy and resources. Currently, more than 300,000 pupils in 11 countries participate in “SPARE” every year, while the network of “SPARE” schools now exceeds 5,000. “SPARE” is financed by Norges Naturvernforbund/Friends of the Earth Norway.
