On September 15 and 22, 2016, the representatives of NGO “EcoVision” visited Zugdidi and Gori. Within the framework of the “SPARE” project, they brought energy efficient wood stoves to 2 schools of Zugdidi and to 3 schools of Gori.

NGO "EcoVision” and KfW, the German Development Bank made information banners “Thank you, that you don’t throw the waste away!”. The banners were installed in 8 different locations in Tbilisi and surrounding region. At these places, on May 2016, were arranged the large-scale clean up actions, within the framework of the campaign “Clean Up Day is Every Day.”


From June to September 2016, in Kolkheti, Borjomi-Kharagauli and Tusheti Protected Areas were arranged summer eco-camps “EcoVision,” organized by NGO “EcoVision” and supported by NGO “Citizen.” Up to 400 school students took part in camps – the winners of: EcoVision TV Show quiz, “SPARE” project competition, NGO “Citizen” Civil Olympics and NGO “EcoVision” different contests and eco-quizzes.


In Summer Eco-camps “EcoVision 2016” along with various educational and entertainment activities, the trainings about Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving were held. The meetings were organized within the framework of the project “SPARE” (School Project for Application of Resources and Energy). The lectures were held by professors and experts of this field. Eco-camp participants were also informed about the “SPARE” project and about the opportunities to create eco-clubs at schools. The trainings caused a big interest among the participants. They got the comprehensive answers to their questions. Within the framework of the trainings the children prepared presentations about energy efficiency, energy saving and climate change.


On August 6, 2016, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, Gigla Agulashvili, visited summer eco-camp “EcoVision 2016” in Tsemi. He received information about eco-camp program and spoke with camp leaders and participants.


On July 3-7, 2016, NGO “EcoVision” with its’ partner organization „Світ освіт,“ arranged study tour in Georgia of Ukrainian colleagues. The event was held within the framework of the “SPARE” project and the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine and environmental NGO „Світ освіт“ visited Georgia.


On June 14-30, 2016, were held trainings "Environmental Education for Sustainable Development" for teachers of up to 20 schools. The trainings were organized by NGO “EcoVision”, under project “SPARE” (School Project for Application of Resources and Energy). Teachers were provided with comprehensive information about the project and the opportunities of creating eco-clubs.


On June 21, 2016, in Tbilisi, at Multimedia Education Center (MEC), was held Eco Film Festival closing ceremony. The festival was organized by NGO “EcoVision” and financed by the U.S. Embassy in Georgia.

On June 7, 2016, in Tbilisi, at Free University, was held the rewarding ceremony of “Youth Euro Parliament 2016” best delegates. The project is implemented by NGO “Civic Initiatives Platform.”


On June 5, 2016, for celebrating World Environment Day, NGO “EcoVision” and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) arranged an action at Vake Park, within the framework of the campaign “Clean Up Day is Every Day.”


On June 2, 2016, under the “SPARE” project, in Tbilisi, at Multimedia Education Center (MEC), was held the training on environmental issues. The meeting was organized by NGO “EcoVision” and was attended by up to 15 students of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).


On May 25, 27 and 31, 2016, for celebrating International Children’s Day, were arranged trainings for school children, in which participated up to 100 students of Tbilisi public schools. The meetings were organized by NGO “EcoVision” and The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), within the framework of the campaign “Clean Up Day is Every Day.”
