On May 21-22, 2016, for celebrating Biodiversity Day (May 22 is the International Day of Biodiversity!), in Lagodekhi Protected Areas was arranged an eco-tour for school children. It was organized by KfW, the German Development Bank, NGO “EcoVision,” Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and supported by the Agency of Protected Areas, within the framework of the campaign “Clean Up Day is Every Day.”

On May 10-11, 2016, at NGO “EcoVision” office, were arranged the trainings “Aragvi Decision Support System,” organized by Austrian international consulting and engineering company „Pöyry Energy GmbH Hydro Consulting“ and NGO “EcoVision.” The trainings were conducted by „Pöyry” experts: Martin Fuchs and Harald Kling. The main focus of the training was „A web-based Decision Support System to analyze the impact of climate change and water resources development on runoff in the Aragvi basin.”

On 8th of May, 2016, at Rike Park, at Europe Day celebration ceremony, within the framework of the campaign “Clean Up Day is EveryDay,” was held a final round of eco-quiz. In this event participated the winner students of large-scale clean up actions, arranged under the campaign. The Eco-quiz was organized by KfW, the German Development Bank and NGO “EcoVision.”

On 7th of May, 2016, within the framework of Europe Day events and within German Georgian Cooperation KfW, the German Development Bank and NGO “EcoVision” together with their sponsoring partners organized a “Clean Up Day.” Purpose of the event was raising awareness for keeping nature clean and free of waste. This event is one of the biggest of its kind ever performed in Georgia. It was organized at 9 different and well known locations in Tbilisi and surrounding region. Up to 500 school children, parents and teachers participated in it. Clean-up actions were held in the following areas: Tbilisi Sea (3 locations), Lisi Lake (2 locations), Mamkoda, Kavtiskhevi, Bazaleti Lake, Jvari Monastery (Mtskheta).

NGO “EcoVision” is offering to the newly formed environmental and other non-governmental organizations in Georgia to arrange meetings and conferences for free. NGO “EcoVision” staff will also consult them in project writing and implementation process.

On April 26, 2016, within the framework of World Vision Georgia's Kakheti Area Development Programme, was arranged a second review of school youth clubs’ project proposals. Youth from 9 state schools presented their project ideas to the respected committee. NGO “EcoVision” representatives also attended the meeting and arranged trainings for school students about waste and eco-tourism. They also gave information to children and teachers about International School Project “SPARE.”

On April 19, 2016, under the “SPARE” project, NGO “EcoVision” organized the training for Buckswood International School – Tbilisi students, in which participated up to 15 children.

On April 5, 2016 NGO “EcoVision” hosted the training of US Agriculture Department Forest Service specialist of Conservation Education Ms. Joy Barney and the representative of International Programs Bella Gordon. In the training participated the teachers of Tbilisi public schools involved in “SPARE” project, the trainers of National Center for Teacher Professional Development and “EcoVision” staff.

The meeting was organized by NGO “EcoVision”, under project “SPARE” (School Project for Application of Resources and Energy). Teachers were provided with comprehensive information about the project and the opportunities of creating eco-clubs.
